Adrianne Latrice Austin was born on January 19, 1985, in Nashville, Tennessee, at Baptist Hospital (now Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown), to her loving parents, Linda Boyd Austin of Nashville, Tennessee, and Steven Austin of Memphis, Tennessee. Adrianne departed this life unexpectedly on May 26, 2026, at the age of 41, leaving behind a legacy of intellect, compassion, generosity, and unwavering love for those closest to her.
From an early age, Adrianne exemplified intelligence, curiosity, and determination. A proud honors graduate of Hillwood High School, Class of 2003, she was inducted into Who’s Who Among American High School Students. Adrianne attended Howard University before continuing her educational journey at Tennessee State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science in 2007, graduating cum laude. While at Tennessee State, she served as “Ms. Golden Key International Honour Society” and received recognition from the Political Science Club as both “Most Dedicated Member” and “Most Analytical.” Adrianne later earned her Master of Public Administration degree in 2009.
Professionally, Adrianne built a meaningful career rooted in service, analytics, and lifelong learning. She most recently served as a Data Quality Analyst at NYU Langone Health and completed a Data Analyst Apprenticeship through the Nashville Software School. She also volunteered within her community, including serving as a nonprofit intern with the American Heart Association of Middle Tennessee.
Outside of her professional accomplishments, Adrianne embraced life fully. She was an avid reader, fitness enthusiast, traveler, and technology lover who enjoyed spending time with friends and participating in wellness communities, including Burn Boot Camp Brentwood. Adrianne had a radiant spirit, infectious laugh, and joyful presence that brought warmth and light into every room she entered.
Above all, Adrianne was deeply loyal and devoted to those she loved. She cherished her role as a loving daughter to Linda and a protective, caring big sister to Stephanie. Her kindness, laughter, brilliance, and generous heart will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Adrianne was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Alma F. Boyd and Howard Matthews, paternal grandparents, Thelma Bonds Austin and Willie Cole Jones; great aunt, Betty Sue Boyd, cousin, Reginald D. Clark, and uncle, Ralph Boyd.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving mother, Linda Boyd Austin of Nashville, Tennessee; her father, Steven Austin of Memphis, Tennessee; her devoted sister, Dr. Stephanie Austin of Nashville, Tennessee; great-aunts, Doris Smith, Sarah Beaman, and Ann Mai Braden; aunts Michelle Matthews, Sharon Long, Anita Jones, Charlotte Rollins, and Brenda Short; uncles Carl Boyd, Gregory, Andrew, Gary, and James Ostine Jr., and Keith Austin; along with a host of extended cousins, dear friends, colleagues, and loved ones whose lives were forever touched by her presence.
