Barbara Louise Taylor was born April 9, 1939, in Nashville, Tennessee, to James and Mary Elizabeth Taylor. Her parents preceded her in death. Barbara moved into Eternity, suddenly Wednesday, August 26, 2020.

Barbara became a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church at an early age. She was a faithful communicant until her passing. She was devoted to her children, loved her family, church, work and her dogs. She praised and thanked the Lord for His mercy, His healing power and love beyond all human understanding. She had a smile for everyone with whom she came in contact, along with a kind word and if needed a sharp tongue.

She received her early education from St. Vincent dePaul Catholic School and graduated from Pearl High School class of 1957. Her first job was at the original Service Merchandise where she quickly was promoted to Supervisor. She also worked as a school Mother Patrol and school bus driver for the Nashville Public Schools before she began her 48 plus years of service with the State of Tennessee with the Department of Human Services. She was happy with her position as well as being surrounded by supportive DHS co-workers who became her second family.
