April 15, 2017. Survived by wife of 56 years, Virginia; devoted sons, Bernard (Karen, MD) Crowell, Jr., PhD, MD and Christopher (Jennifer) Crowell, EdD; grandchildren, Jasmine, Elliott, Nicholas, and Naomi; and other relatives and friends. Public visitation on Sunday, April 23, 2017, 2-5p at the funeral home. Visitation with the family on Monday, April 24, 2017, 10-11a with funeral to follow at Church of the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 615 6th Ave South with Father Bill Dennler officiating. Internment at Harpeth Hills Cemetery.
