Norris was born on May 16, 1952, in Port Arthur, TX. He was a 1970 graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School in Port Arthur, TX and attended David Lipscomb College in Nashville, TN, remaining in Nashville until 2009 when settling in Murfreesboro, Tn. He worked at St. Thomas Ascension Health until retiring in 2008. Before retiring Norris served as minister at the following congregations: Bell Street Church of Christ, Ashland City Church of Christ, Kings Lane Church of Christ in Nashville TN and 9 th and Main Street Church of Christ in Clarksville. Norris was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Sallie Brodie and Lilter Williams, his parents, Robert Sr. and Bertha Lee Williams, his sister Sheryl Venetia and brothers Ira Parker, Rodrick Luke, and Robert Williams, Jr. Survivors include his daughters Tajuana (Gregory) Nations and Jill (Tramaine) Taylor, their mother, Ivory Lee Dixon, all of Nashville,TN. Grandchildren Chantrise Dixon, TaJuan Dixon, Xzavior Williams, Gregory Nations, Jr., Gelon Nations, X’Kiyah Taylor and two great-grandchildren; Carter Seward and E’Niyah Groves, his sisters, Sally (Wilson) Trahan of Houston, TX., Lilter Napoleon of Oklahoma City, OK., StarQueenie (Wesley) Ellis of Tupelo, MS, Sonda Jones of Houston, TX and his brothers, Oliver Williams, Sr. (Brenda) of Port Arthur, TX., Erman Williams, Sr.(Latrecia) of Cookeville, TN., Terrence Williams, Sr. of Houston, TX., and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, co-workers and friends. Also special friends Shawn, Kelly and Jordan Simpson., K. Barnett, Joe Sneed, Greg Daniels, elders and deacons along with all the members of Franklin Road Church of Christ. Special thanks to Bro.
