Obituary

Carolyn Jennetta Wiseman, 74, passed from this life into eternal life on Saturday, December 30, 2023.

She was born February 7, 1949, in Nashville, TN to the late Rev. Jesse M Bowers Sr. and the late Ora Belle Larkins Bowers. Her formal education was centered on attending Meigs School from Middle School through High School.

Carolyn began her career in the Health Care Profession at Clover Bottom Developmental Center where she worked until her retirement after more than 30 years of service.

She was a longtime member of Braden Memorial United Methodist Church where she served on numerous committees.

Carolyn was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. She absolutely loved helping all people and did this freely from her heart.

She leaves to cherish her memory: daughter Donna Hinton; brother Rev. Jesse M. (Brenda) Bowers Jr.; grandchildren; Alonzo (Jalisa) Hooper; Mikesha Hooper; Anthony Hooper; Christian Hooper, Robert Hooper; great grandchildren: Hayden Bowens and Alona Hooper; nieces and nephews: Tanesha (Arvin) Stewart; Taffany (Antonio) Britton; Tandra Hunter, Terica Bowers; David Wiseman. Close Friend Zadie Webster. Sister/Cousin Barbara Ann Bunch and a host of other cousins, family, and friends. Carolyn will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.

Carolyn is preceded in death by parents Rev. Jesse and Ora Bowers, Sr., husband James Edward Wiseman, daughters, Norma Wiseman-Steverson and Nathalie Hooper and brother Richard Bowers.
