Nashville - age 63, woman of faith, loving daughter of the late James and Vivian Watkins and loyal friend, passed on November 16, 2018. She grew up on College Hill in north Nashville, attended Washington Junior High School and graduated from Cohn High School in 1973. She went on to Tennessee State University where she was a Flag Corp member in the Aristocrat of Bands. For more than 30 years she worked for American General Insurance Company, known as AIG when she retired several years ago. Cheryl was a lifelong member of Clark Memorial United Methodist Church and a founding member of the Agape Singers of Music City. She is survived by a host of loved ones.
Funeral will be Saturday, November 24, 2018, at 1:00 p.m., at Clark Memorial United Methodist Church, 1014 14th Avenue North, Nashville TN 37208. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery West, 820 Elm Hill Pike, Nashville, TN 37210. In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions in memory of Cheryl may be made to the TSU Foundation, 3500 John A.
