He transitioned on Monday, September 22, 2025 at Williamson Medical Center. Curtis was preceded in death by parents, Mary Elizabeth Davis Smith and James Albert Smith; two siblings, Vicky Smith and Ricky Smith.
Survived by children, Jordan Dakota better known as Marquita Nicole Smith, Curtis Maurice Smith Jr., Desmond Terrone Smith, and Destiny Nicole Smith; siblings, Milton (Scott) Davis, Leatha (Myron) Davis, Theresa Day, Audrey and Frankie Smith; other relatives and friends.
