Deborah Ann Delk Howse was born November 25,1947 in Davidson County to the late Joseph and Florence Delk. She transitioned August 21, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Deborah accepted Christ at an early age joining the Bethlehem U.P. Baptist Church where she faithfully served until her death.

She was educated in the Davidson County public school, graduating from Pearl High School, earning her degree as a Registered Nurse from Tennessee A&I University now known as TSU.

March 7,1971 Deborah Ann Delk was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Elder Robert Allen Howse, and this union was blessed with one child, adding Robyn Jonea’ making their family complete.

With her Registered Nursing degree, Deborah worked at Hubbard Hospital up until their closing, worked at a private doctor’s office before moving on to Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center where she stayed until her health failed.

Always wanting to be a greeter, after retirement she joined The Tennessee Performing Art Center family.

Committed to her Christian works Deborah served as secretary to the Ministers Wives of Big Harpeth U.P. Baptist Association, President to the Tennessee State Convention choir.

With her love and passion for singing she was a member of several choirs, her church choir, the Association Choir Union, the Tennessee State Convention choir and the National Primitive Baptist Convention Choir.

Deborah was called Aunt Dee, Ma’am, Sister Howse, and friend.

Preceeded in death by her parents, Joseph and Florence Delk, husband, Elder Robert Allen Howse, siblings, Raymond Delk, and Judith Pillow a nephew, Kenneth Pillow.

She is leaving to cherish her memory, beloved and devoted daughter, Robyn Jonea’ Howse, Michigan City, IN, niece Helga Eubanks, one great-nephew, Aubrey {AJ} Eubanks, II. {Paige} of Nashville, TN. Sisters in-laws, Georgia Coxs, Annie Covington, of Nashville, TN., Jacqueline Delk of Austin, Tx Friends, Diane Jennings, Doris Fears, Pat Turner, and Dr. Willis. Other nephews and nieces, cousins and numerous adopted nieces, nephews and friends.
