DeRon D. Johnson

August 10, 1979 — April 25, 2025

DeRon Donte Johnson, affectionately known as Ron, was born to Portia Johnson and James Eubanks on August 10, 1979, in Nashville, TN.

Ron grew up in the South Nashville community, JC/UC, and he never missed a chance to represent where he came from. In 2000, he met the love of his life, Jessica Turner Johnson, and together they built a beautiful life rooted in love and family. Their union was blessed with two daughters, DeNya and DeLiah, who were the light of Ron’s life. Being a father was one of his greatest joys and most cherished roles.

Ron was known for working just as hard as he played. No matter the role or position—from offering excellent customer service with a smile to putting in long hours in the kitchen—he approached every job with dedication and heart. He had an infectious spirit and was truly the life of the party, lighting up every room he entered. To Ron, there were no strangers, only friends he hadn’t met yet.

He was also known for his impeccable style and signature flair. Wherever he went, he always had a hat to match his outfit. He never left home without one perched proudly on his head—a small but memorable mark of his charm and character.

Beyond his roles as a devoted husband and father, Ron took immense pride in being “Uncle Ron,” or simply, “Uncle.” His nieces and nephews held a special place in his heart, and he loved them as his own. He poured his love, time, and energy into ensuring they were always cared for and never went without.

Ron passed away on Friday, April 25, 2025, at the age of 45. He was preceded in death by his mother, Portia Johnson, and his father, James Eubanks, Sr.

Ron leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Jessica Johnson; daughters, DeNya and DeLiah; uncle, Ronnel; brothers, Todd “Booyah,” Jesse (Melveshia), Jaron, Kevin, and James; sisters, Cynthia “Tee” (Jermaine), Pheadra (Fay Fay), and Genora; Father in law, Jesse Dotson Jr.; Mother in Law, Sheron Dotson; special nephews, Diontaye (Jessica), Evan, and Quentin; special nieces, Phoenix (Marlon), Chalisia, Cheneria, Summer, Autumn, Faith, Hope, and Heaven; great-niece, Anais; childhood friends, Terrance, Eric, Tremell, and Reggie “Pudge”; Special cousins: Ted, Jennie and Aric; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Please keep the Johnson family in your thoughts and prayers.
