Dovie Baker 94, peacefully fell asleep in the arms of her Master on August 31, 2015.
Mrs. Baker was very active and a pillar in the Dixie Heights Community. She served faithfully and held positions in many auxiliaries at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church where she served as church Mother.
She leaves a legacy with her daughters Peggi (James) Brown, Pamela (Sherman) Helton, Gwendolyn Baker, Donna Baker, and Warner (Jimmie) Leonard. Her sons Wilbur Baker, Elton (Elaine) Baker, and Wayne Baker. Her sister Ethel Threat, 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and a host of other family, friends, and love ones.
Family will receive friends for viewing on Friday September 4, from 4-7 and Service of Celebration on Saturday September 5, at 11 am, both at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church 1484 Pillow St.
Interment to follow in Forest Hill Midtown.
