Mr. Edward Louis Jones was born on March 30, 1940, in Ardmore, Tennessee, to the late Mr. Edward and Mrs. Jimmie Lou Jones. He was the youngest child born to their union.

Edward was also preceded in death by his grandchild, Ervin Eugene Sweat, Jr; siblings, Sallie Will Frierson of Cleveland, OH., Joe D. Abernethy of Indianapolis, In ; and James Abernethy of Nashville, Tn. Larry Booker

Edward attended Pearl High School and later enlisted in the United States military, where he proudly served his country. After his military service, he was employed with Pony Express and later Tennessee Carriers, where he worked faithfully until his retirement.

At an early age, Edward gave his life to Christ and remained steadfast in his faith throughout his life. He was a devoted member of Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church.

Edward was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his children, Sandra Robinson (Ervin Sr.), Andrea Booker, Tonia Mentlow, and Jerry (Tammy) Robinson Sr.

stepchildren, Gloria Lockridge, George Gross (Mattie), Sandra Gross, and Shirley Gross;

grandchildren, Tweety Bird, Justin Booker Sr., LaDonta Agnew Sr., Jabreon, Jaydon, Jerry Robinson Jr., Latrena Lampkin, Tyrone “Hollywood” (Tasha) Gross, Rico Gross, and Calvin “Pee Wee” Gross.

great-grandchildren, Cyi’lee Robinson, Jastavia Booker, Justin Booker Jr., Xylah Agnew, LaDonta Agnew Jr., De’Andrea Agnew, and Hayden Agnew;

nieces and nephews, Sallie Frierson (James) of Cleveland, Oh, Donna Abernathy of Indianapolis, In.

Cousins; Cassie Stevenson, Linda Bledsoe, Mary Jones, Parlean Harney, and Jackie Oliver of Nashville,Tn.

As well as a devoted cousin, Mrs. Patricia “King” Gregory, who was always there without a doubt. Very devoted friend, Dwight Taylor.

Though he has departed this earthly life, his love, wisdom, and memories will forever remain in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
