Elmer Lynn Freeman, affectionately known to his family and friends as “Elmer Lynn”, was born on September 14, 1933, in Nashville, Tennessee. He was the second of eight children born to Elsie and Henry Freeman, Sr.
Elmer was preceded in death by his parents, Elsie Freeman and Henry Freeman, Sr.; brothers Ronald Freeman and Danny Freeman; sister Georgia Freeman, sisters-in-law Dorothy Freeman and Loretta Freeman, and devoted cousin Martha Hardin.
He leaves to cherish his memory, one devoted daughter, Diedra Lynnette Freeman, grandson, Caleb Lynn Blount; brothers, Henry (Earnestine} Freeman), William Freeman, Raymond (Earlene) Freeman, and Henry (Karen) Cooksey, one sister Patricia (Oscar) Sherrod, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
