Estella Virgili Davis was born on May 26, 1942, to the late Irene Mooney-Pruitt and Howard William Pruitt Sr. in Nashville Tennessee.


Estella received her education in Davidson County School System. She professed Christ at an early age and joined St. Luke Primitive Baptist Church. She was employed at Clover Bottom Institute and Metro Nashville Public Schools as a Crossing Guard.


She was united in holy matrimony to Charles Edward Davis Sr., and to this union two children were born, Charles Jr. and Lamont Davis.


Estella was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Davis Sr., son Lamont Davis, parents, Irene Mooney-Pruitt and Howard William Pruitt Sr., sisters, Loretta and Irene Pruitt, Mary Garrett, Loistine Presley, Mildred Davis, Margaret Howse, Patricia Rudolph, and Ella Taylor, brothers, William, and James Pruitt, grandson, Lamont Pitts, and great-grandson, Isaac Thomas.


She leaves to cherish her memory devoted and loving son Charles (Toni) Davis, daughter in law, Minnie Davis, lifelong companion Roy Bright, grandchildren Monique, Monika (Lisa) and Niija Davis, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, brother, Charles Pruitt, sisters, Dorothy Williams, Wilhomena (Lee) Wilkes, and Barbara (Donnie) Roberts, sister in laws, Dolly King, Lois (John) Compton, brother in law, David Rudolph, host of nieces and nephews, cousins and other relative and friends.
