George "Mike" Berry

George "Mike" Berry was born on November 15, 1940 at Meharry Hospital to the union of Sallie Louise Berry and Buford Jackson in Nashville, TN. He entered into eternal rest on June 25, 2020 at Trevecca Center for Rehabilitation and Healing.

He is survived by his sisters, Lucy Berry Johnson of Nashville, TN, Flora L. Berry of Trenton, TN, six children, Delmus Marthel, Vickie Berry, George Berry, Jr.(Lil' Mike), Catrenna Berry(LaTorrey) McCord, Lamont Andree Dowell, and Kenya Berry (Lady Berry), a devoted brother/cousin, Thomas Clay, cousins Annie Clegget, Sherman Tibbs, Ellen Turner, The Tibbs family, Barbara Vaughn, Sherron Heyward, John and Malia Evans (Atlanta, Georgia), The Mitchell family, the Smith family, the Moore family nieces, Stacy Crowder, Sallie (Melvin) Moreland, Gina Berry, Tina Rose, Sonya Lloyd, Jewell Hodge, nephews Sean Berry, Sam Berry, Charles Johnson, Jr, Karl Berry (Poochie) and a host of great nieces and nephews as well as great -great nieces and nephew. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sallie Berry, his father Buford Johnson, his daughter, Valerie Berry, brothers John Berry, Willie Crowder (Peter Red), James Berry ( Rock), Freddy Berry, Robert Berry (Boone), sisters Ida Berry-Knight, Yvette and Yvonne Berry, special friends Reverend Charles Townsend, Sr., and Maurice Watson
