Gregory Mitchell Reeves

Gregory M. Reeves (affectionately known as Greg) was born on January 29, 1960 to Ruth Vonner and Mitchell Reeves in Indianapolis, Indiana. He departed for his heavenly home on August 20, 2020. Greg was preceded in death by his, father, Mitchell Reeves, son, Antonio Reeves, and stepfather, Fred Langford.

Greg was raised in a loving Christian home. Upon moving to Nashville, he joined St. Luke Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. He was educated in Illinois public schools. He graduated from Larkin High School in Elgin, Illinois. After completing his education, he worked as a machine operator for many years.

Greg enjoyed watching television, and he especially loved watching sports. His favorite teams were the St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Bears. He could always be found sitting in his favorite chair with the television remote nearby.

Greg leaves to cherish his memory: his loving Mother, Ruth Langford, his god-daughter, Ariel, two brothers, Reverend Reginald (Jacqueline) Langford of Elgin, Illinois, and Lance Langford also of Elgin, Illinois; one sister, Cathy Langford of Nashville, TN. Two nephews, Titus (Qianna) Langford of Nashville, TN and Brian Langford of Elgin, Illinois, one great nephew, Jameer Langford of Nashville, TN; four aunts, one uncle, many loving cousins, neighborhood friends, and a very special friend, Liz.
