Henry Corey Booker (affectionately called Corey) was born August 23,1979 to the late Henry Jr and Neller Faye Booker, in Nashville, Tennessee. He departed this earthly life on November 24, 2025.
Corey accepted Christ at an early age at the Saint James Missionary Church under the Pastorate of George Brooks, Sr. He later united with the Temple Church under Senior Pastor Darrell A. Drumwright.
Corey was educated in Metro Nashville Public Schools and graduated in the class of 1998 as a proud Cobra from Whites Creek Comprehensive High school, where he studied and developed a love for auto mechanics. Corey furthered his education at Tennessee Tech and the Nashville Auto Diesel College.
Corey is the father of his two precious jewels Taylor and Kinsley Booker and granddaughter Kehlani. Later Corey met Kimberly his love for over 16 years along with loving and raising her children as his very own Kylee, Katrina, and Robert. Corey had a strong and protective love for family especially his sister Verdell and niece Isreya. After his father passed he stepped up as a strong male presence for his sister and niece. He also had a strong bond with his cousin/sister Quanisha and cousin/brother Quantas. He had a great love and respect for his older family members.
Corey had a unique talent and special hobby painting and detailing motorcycles and cars. He loved working in the body shop where you could always find him working on vehicles. Corey had a love for history and made a daily routine of reading his Bible and praying every morning.
Corey worked for Gaylord Transportation where he drove and did maintenance work on buses. Corey later started working with Frank Perry at Stateline Inspection and Repair Service, where they formed a strong forever friendship. In 2019, Corey started his own lawn care and scraping business.
Although Corey was a quiet soul, he never met a stranger and had a unique bond with everyone. Corey often won people over with his smile, laughter, storytelling, and kindness. He always had a joke even in a serious moment. Corey was a true “Country Boy” to heart, especially in his talk and “dip”. Lol. You will never find a person as real and caring as Corey.
Corey was preceded in death by his parents Henry Jr and Neller Faye Booker, Grandparents Pastor Henry Booker Sr and Louise Booker - Oliver, Otis McMillan and Viola McMillan - Fowler. Special Aunts and Uncles.
Corey leaves to cherish his memories: his life partner Kimberly Jo White; son Taylor Booker and daughter Kinsley Booker; adopted children Kylee Page, Katrina Daniels, and Robert White; grandchildren Kehlani Ahnae Jenkins and Kymri Jo Ann Page; devoted sister Verdell Booker; devoted niece Isreya Osborne; stepmother Deborah Booker; uncles Carl Sr (Dorothy) Booker and Michael Booker; devoted cousins Quanisha Keel (Willie) and Quantas Hicks; (affectionately called Aunts) Zina Hicks and Cheryl Eppenger, Kenneth Booker, Tresa Hampton, Katherine, Kristen, Breana, Daresa, Carl Jr, Devonte, Sheldon, Chenisha, and Trey Keel; a host of aunts, other cousins, and devoted friends.
