Lamont Cole was born September 10, 1947. His life ended suddenly September 15, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence C. and Mabel Cole and his brother Bobby Douglas.
Lamont was educated in The Public Schools of Nashville, Tennessee graduating from Cameron High School in 1966. He received a degree in Drafting from Nashville Technical College. He retired from Tennessee Department of Corrections as a Correctional Supervisor. Lamont was a man for all seasons; a gentleman, loving, generous, industrious and hardworking. He was a lover of sports enjoying football, was an avid tennis player, and had a tremendous sense of humor. Lamont had a heart of gold and a special way with people and children; he was a cherished uncle with all of his nieces and nephews.

Lamont leaves the following to cherish many fond memories; wife, Vanita Cole; son, Nicholas Cole; grandson, Dominic Cole; brothers James Douglas, Timothy (Jennifer) Cole; sisters, Diane Hughes, Denise Stuckey Ward; sisters-in-law Carolyn Riley, Gwen (Moses) Williams, Rosalyn Joyce, Jewel Walker, Joyce Pillow; brothers-in-law, Ronald (Robbie) Pillow, Oliver Pillow; a host of special nieces and nephews. Favorite Aunt Nooney (Miriam Taylor) and Carolyn Allen; devoted friends, Minister Phyllis Sublett, Wayne Reese (Arizona) and Peaches – Forever Brothers; William and Melba Corley – Barbecue King; Wayne and Faye Sadler; Ross and Susan Jordan; Bob and Nancy the worlds most faithful neighbors. The family has experienced a great loss, but his spirit will live on in everyone he touched. Last but not least...lets not forget about Tosha!!
