Nashville - 97, passed away January 9, 2018.
Survived by children, Albert (Melanie) Bender, Jr., Tanya Bender Henderson, and Aynoka Bender; grandchildren Justin Bender, Jasmin and Stephen Henderson, Jeffrey Bender; two great-grandchildren; nieces Velma Barr, Annie (Grant) Watkins, Queen McGee, Gwendolyn Wakefield and Kathryn (George) Bender Knight; nephews Andre and Darryl Wakefield, and a host of other family and friends. Viewing, Tuesday, January 16, 2-6 pm at Lewis and Wright Funeral Home, Nashville, TN. Funeral, Wednesday, January 17, 9:30 am at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 1219 2nd Ave. S, Nashville, TN 37210.
Interment at Greenwood Cemetery.
