Loretta Annette Belue – Shelton A.K.A Mimi was born March 4, 1940. She was born to the late Fred Belue and Willie Ezelle King – Belue. She departed this life on Friday, June 13, 2025, and she was the oldest of 3 girls.
Loretta attended grade school in St. Paul, Alabama, and from there, she attended High School at Trenholm High School. She graduated from Trenholm High School in Tuscumbia, Alabama where she finished in the year of 1958. After finishing High School, she continued her education at the National School of Business in Nashville, Tennessee in the year of 1960.
In the year of 1961, she was united in Holy Matrimony to Robert Earl Shelton Sr. To this union, three children were born. She also had a stepdaughter Deborah Louise Shelton, which preceded in death in 2013. She was employed with Metro Board Of Education from the year 1971 until May 2005.
She belonged to Mt Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church, she was a member of The Usher Board, a member of The Annie Bell Brown Missionary, a member of The Mother Board and a Child of God.
She was a good neighbor and contributed to her neighborhood. She was responsible for helping rename Hardscuffle Rd in the community of Brentwood, TN. to Church Steet East.
Loretta is survived by loved ones to cherish her memories, husband Robert Earl Shelton Sr.; sons, Robert Earl Shelton Jr. (Yolanda Berry), Jeffrey Orlando Shelton; daughters Letitia Annette Shelton, preceded in death stepdaughter Deborah Louise Shelton; grandchildren, Jacqueline Louise Shelton-Muratovic, Ti’era Annette Morris, Terri LaKeia Morris, Terence LaKeith Morris Jr. (Alyssa Brandt), Lawrence Sabon Shelton (Kadeeja Lyons), Orlando Jeffrey Shelton; great grandchildren, Lily Soboun, Natalya Muratovic, Mauricio Lanell Ward, and Tiberius Wolfe Morris; siblings, Lorabell Softley (Larry Softley Sr.), and Carolyn Belue; brother in-law David Shelton and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
