McCormick, Marie (ReeRee) Dodson – Age 70 of Nashville, transitioned on January 28, 2012 surrounded by family and friends. She was born on June 20, 1941 in Memphis, TN. Preceded in death by parents, Daniel Dodson, Ethel Whiting Dodson; son, Stephen B. McCormick; sister, Isabelle Stephens. Survived by siblings, Clarence T. Walton, Velma J. Dodson Woods; grandson, Stephen Ryan McCormick; niece, Oni R. L. M. Woods; devoted cousins Lennell Rayford & Fontaine Leatherwood; devoted friend, Linda Hayes and a host of other relatives & friends. She attended Memphis City Public Schools; graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. She graduated Tennessee State University, B.S. and Trevecca Nazarene University, M.S. She was a retired teacher with Memphis City Public Schools. She was a devout Christian and Member of Mount Zion Baptist Church, Nashville, TN.

Services will be held at 1:00 o’clock on the afternoon of Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Mount Zion Baptist Church, Old Hickory Blvd., Nashville, TN, Rev. Joseph Walker, III officiating.
