Monique Bogus

We thank God upon every memory of you, Monique Orlinda Bogus(Moe/Candy), who departed into Eternal rest on Sunday, July 23, 2023.


Monique was born on October 3, 1965 in Nashville, Tennessee to Rev. Robert N. Bogus and to the late Vera Maie Bowers Bogus. She was educated in the Metro- Nashville Public Schools, graduated from Whites Creek Comprehensive High School in 1983, and studied at Tennessee State University.


Monique accepted Jesus Christian at an early age at Cleveland Street Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Curtis Bender.


She sang in the youth choir, was a half-timer, nominated as the best dancer at WCHS, and loved to roller skate. Monique began her employment with Pic' N Pay shoes and other various jobs including the Goodwill.


Her family and love ones will forever cherish her memory. She leaves her one and only son Joshua R. Bogus; father, Rev. Robert(LaKesa) Bogus; sisters, Moneca' R. Bogus, India J. Bogus, Tiant M. Lollar(Wheeler) Henderson, and Rebecca R. Thomas; brothers, Robert N. Bogus Jr and Jaydien K. Bell; grandbaby Nicco McElrath-Bogus; nephews, Eric D. McAnally II and De'Quan X. Lollar; nieces, Tiahna M. McAnally, Briahna R. McAnally, Zhana D. McAnally, and T'Bria L. Lollar; uncle, Walter B. Bowers; aunties, Helen C. Lane, Nancy N. Crockett, the late Shirley A. Harris, Christine Williams, Elteresa Harding, Joyce (Andrew) Talley and Shirley(Aaron) Gipson, MI; host of devoted cousins, other relatives, and friends.
