MOTHER LOTTIE J. DAVIS was born April 9, 1929 to Mr. Richard and Mary Ransom. She was married to Willie “Brut” Davis for many years until he passed in 1994. She left this side of the Jordan River to be with the Lord on September 20, 2020.
MOTHER DAVIS professed her faith in Christ at a very early age. She was a longstanding active member of Fourteenth Avenue Missionary Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and put her trust in Him.
MOTHER DAVIS loved her family. She cared for her children and made sure that they had what they needed. Her love was shown by her faith and also by her funny disposition. She made sure you laughed before you left her presence. She was a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all who knew her and freely gave her counsel when needed.
MOTHER DAVIS is preceded in death by her husband Willie “Brut” Davis, and two sons, Richard “Bear” and Alfred “Snookie” Martin.
She leaves to cherish her memories, a loving son, Wayman Ransom; grandsons, Terrance (Kenya) Hayes, Courtney and Reginald Richardson; a host of great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren; sister, Lucille Lonon; sister-n-law, Carrie Ransom.
