Reginia Marie Fleming

September 30, 1974 — August 14, 2023

Gina Marie was born on Monday, September 30th,1974 at memorial hospital Nashville, Tennessee to James E King and Jean Marie Phillips. She received Christ at the age of 12 and was baptized at Immanuel Missionary Baptist church by Rev. James D. Cooke, Sr.


Her life has been in constant association with God, and she was involved in His work for its full balance, until the day that she was called to her reward on August 14th, 2023


She sang in the youth choir and became one of the choir’s song leaders. From there on she developed into a premiere songstress and was an incredibly gifted and inspiring singer. Her signature song which has now come to spiritual fruition was “SAFE IN HIS ARMS”


She is preceded in death by her loving Grandparents Deacon Sylvester and Mrs. Tamar Roland, loving Uncle Sylvester Roland (Button) Brother James E King Jr (Joey), and a great host of loving relatives.


Gina received her education from the Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools System and graduated from Hunters Lane High School in 1992. She also attended Tennessee State University where she received her Bachelor’ and master’s degrees in business administration management. She was also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority INC…as well as Ladies OF Unique.


She was employed with the Department of Children’s Services for the State of Tennessee.


Gina also has a deep affection for many people who, in turn, shared a deep affection for her as well. The list of dedicated friends that she shared would be too many to mention. This kindly speaks of her loving and dedicated spirit and the ability to connect lovingly with many people. Many of whom she shared a lasting sisterhood.


She loved to travel and share good times and moments with her Children whom she loved without limits, as well as her many friends and associates.


Gina Leaves to mourn her passing; Father Pastor James E King Sr. a loving mother Jean Marie Phillips, Loving and Dedicated Stepfather John Phillips, Devoted son Derek Aiden Fleming, Loving and devoted Daughter Asheleigh R Woodson-King, Stepdaughter Dayzhonna E. Boren Brothers Antonio Jones, Randome Raines, Sister Khalilah R King-Bowens, Uncle Michael Roland, Aunt Deborah and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.
