Ricci L. Gardner

Ricci L. Gardner Sr, 65, of Nashville, TN, passed away on February 8, 2022, surrounded by his loved ones. He was preceded in death by his parents Boyd & Julia Buchanan, and sisters Lanier & Faith Gardner. Ricci leaves behind his wife Chiquita Gardner, children: Nicci (Jeffrey) McMichael, Ricci (Candice) Gardner Jr, Kelli (Kevin) Stamps, Cypriana Gardner, and Cameron (Tony) Guidugli. He is survived by brother, Dana (Sharon) Gardner, and sisters, Hope & Benita Gardner. He had a total of 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ricci Gardner, a native of Nashville, was a graduate of East High School class of 1974. He received his bachelor’s degree from The University of Tennessee Knoxville, where he excelled as an All-American in Track & Field. A respected leader in his community, Ricci would go on to touch many lives mentoring in the workplace and in his community.
His presence and unique sense of humor will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held at McFerrin Community Center on Saturday, March 5th at 2:00pm.
