Robert "Mr. E." Green, Sr.

Robert McDonnel Green, Sr. was born August 4, 1943 in Nashville, TN to the parents of the late Ernest Jr. & Grace Green. He stepped into eternity on Thursday evening, September 26, 2024.

Robert is preceded in death by his sister, Mary E. Reedy, Ernestine G. Foster, one brother, Theodore Green, one nephew, Edward Howard, and sisters-in-law, Sancia Blivens, Vanessa Blivens.

Robert professed his faith in Christ at an early age. He received his formal education in Merto Nashville Public Schools and graduated from Meigs High School, class of 1961 and he also graduated from Barber/ cosmetologist school. 

Robert worked, Metro Davidson County Schools, Metro Water Company, Belmont University, and Hampton Inns. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. During retirement he enjoyed fishing and watching football with his buddies.

He leaves to cherish his memories, a devoted wife, Jessica Turner- Green, children, Jessica Nicole (Tywan) Easley, Robert M. (Joann) Green Jr., Grace (Anthony) Moore, Jerry Green, Calvin Green, Christy Green, Patrick (Victoria) Green and Phillip (Tonya) Green; Ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; Brothers: David Green and Charles (Tommie) Green; Sisters: Doris (Andrew) Batey and Darlene Green; Mother-in-law: Pearlie Hammond; Sisters- in- law: Carlotta Blivens, Brenda (John) Hurt, and Teresa Blivens; and a host of nieces, great-nieces, nephews and great- nephews and a host of other relatives and his fishing buddies…….
