Robert Mitchell West

Robert Mitchell West son of the late Russell and Bessie Geneva West was born in Davidson County, TN on February 24, 1963. He departed this life on Friday, June 20, 2025. At an early age he professed his faith in Christ. He grew up in Davidson County and was educated in Davidson County Public School System. He graduated from Stratford High School in 1981. During his professional career he worked at Viacom Cablevision. He was recognized as an outstanding employee. Robert is affectionately known as “Mick” by his neighbors and “Mickey” by his family and friends. Robert enjoyed eating great food and celebrating with friends and family. He believed being with good friends and eating barbecue made the best memories. Robert was a jazz enthusiast who had the opportunity to meet his favorite jazz artist, Herbie Hancock. Robert was also an avid football fan and supporter of the Tennessee Titans. He proudly displayed his autographed Tennessee Titan football. Robert is preceded in death by his brother Ronnie West. Robert leaves to cherish his memories devoted nieces; Debora (Elston) Rogers, Cynthia Barley; devoted cousin, Phillip King; devoted cousins, Amelia Northington and Beverly Bell. Devoted Neighbors, Anthony Lipscomb, Charles (Peggy) Drew; devoted friends, Russell Scruggs, Damion Nix, Libby (George) Daniels and a host of other relatives and friends.
