Rubye was born August 27, 1929, to the union of the late Alton and Maggie Davis. One sister, Martha also proceeded her in death.
She united in Holy Matrimony to the late Jimmie Lee Langdon. To this union their daughter, Albertina was born.
Rubye was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, teacher and great friend to many. She taught for over 40 years in Leake, Grenada, and Drew Public School Districts. Her students still reminisce about her picking them up for choir practice, church, plays, and making sure they knew their part even if it took a gentle knuckle tap to remind them to sing or play an instrument correctly.
At home on August 3, 2020, Rubye exchanged time for eternity.
Rubye leaves to cherish her memories a daughter, Albertina (Malcolm) Bell of Houston, Mississippi; a devoted sister, Mary Rice of Nashville, Tennessee; two grandsons, Julius and Jimmy Bell, two granddaughters, Deshondria Simpson and Breeanah Bell all of Houston, MS; a multitude of brother and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, God children and grandchildren, student’s, family and friends.
