Mr. Samuel Stephen Sims III, age 71 transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on Friday, March 6, 2020. Sam Stephen Sims III was born on May 7, 1948 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Sam Sims Jr. and Jane Ann Freeman Sims. His mother was a devout St. Vincent parishioner, and his father was baptized before he passed away.
Sam was a graduate of Father Ryan High School, received a Bachelor of Science degree at Tennessee State university, where he became a member of the Phi Beata Sigma Fraternity. Sam was a member of the Knights of Peter Clavier, a retired state government employee, skilled in electrical work, a licensed bar tender, and worked in security at TSU at the time of his earthly departure. He enjoyed traveling throughout the USA to sport events, and in representation for the Knights of Peter Clavier.
He leaves to cherish his memory his aunt, Vera Childs; siblings, Vincent Sims, Ann Sims, Sean Taylor, Nicholas Taylor and Natasha Taylor; nephew, nieces, cousins, many church members, and friends (some of which go back to his childhood).
Although we are saddened by our personal loos his long and spiritually fulfilling life is to be celebrated.
