Shemika Perkins

Shemika Trinette Perkins was born September 15, 1978 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee to Cheryl (Bell) Davis. Shemika graduated from Antioch High School and later received her cosmetology license.

While Shemika enjoyed her family and friends, her life was greatly-enhanced on July 19, 2007 with the birth of her only child, Mr. Tajon Lamonte Gregory. The role of "Mother" was one Shemika truly cherished; she enjoyed watching her son grow.

As many know, Shemika fought through serious health issues for years – having even passed temporarily through death’s doors on June 15, 2018. But with the family's prayers, God was gracious and gave her an additional two years (to the day) of life until she departed this Earth to be with the Lord on June 15, 2020.

Shemika is survived by: son, Tajon L. Gregory; mother, Cheryl (Bell) Davis; step-father, Anthony Davis; sister, Toni Nicole Perkins; brothers, Jordan & Savion Davis, Sonny Bell; grandparents, Katherine Bell, and Laura Davis, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins whom she cherished and loved.
