Nashville

TaJuana Lee Denise White - Moore, affectionately known as Freda, entered eternal rest on May 21, 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee, at the age of 61.

Freda was born on April 9, 1964, to the late Carolyn Ogburn and Harold Gipson. As the eldest of four siblings, she carried a nurturing spirit and natural leadership that stayed with her throughout her life.

Freda found God at an early age and remained deeply rooted in her Christian faith throughout her life. Her walk with Christ was not only a personal commitment but also the foundation for the way she loved and served others. She was a faithful member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, where she worshipped with devotion and humility.

She began her education in the Detroit Public Schools System before relocating to Nashville at age 14, where she completed her high school education. Freda went on to earn her degree from Tennessee State University (TSU), a milestone she celebrated with pride.

Freda devoted over 32 years of service as a Respiratory Therapist at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she was respected for her professionalism, compassion, and commitment to healing. She touched countless lives—both patients and peers—with her calming presence and steadfast care.

Freda leaves to cherish her memory her two beautiful daughters, Leah Craig (Demond) and Kayla Baca of Los Angeles CA; her sisters, Carla Ogburn of Mt. Juliet, TN, and Lechola Ogburn of Detroit, MI; her brother, Rickey White of Detroit, MI; her aunt, Raynetta White of Detroit, MI; uncles, Melvin White (Bridgett) of Detroit, MI, and Reginal White of Warren, MI; her beloved soulmate Lee; her sister-friend Rena; and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and church family.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Carl and Elsie White; one aunt, Jennifer White; and one uncle, Walter White Sr.

Freda’s legacy is one of faith, strength, service, and unconditional love. Her faith was unwavering, her heart generous, and her presence a true blessing to all who knew her. Her memory will continue to shine through the lives she touched and the love she gave so freely.
