Tekoa Boyd, affectionately called “Boo” peacefully entered into eternal rest as she slept, on Monday, March 23, 2020, at the age of 47, in Nashville, Tennessee.
Tekoa was born on September 7, 1972 to the late (Thomas Boyd) and Mary Hicks (Boyd) Wynn. She is preceded in death by her father, Thomas Boyd; grandparents, Ruth and John Hicks.
Tekoa was educated in the Metro Public School System, and attended Draughons Business College.
Tekoa professed her hope in Christ at an early age. Her hobbies were watching sports and taking pictures.
Tekoa leaves to cherish her memories a loving and devoted husband, Jesse Lamont Thompson; five children, Keona Boyd (Carlos Bass); Montavius, Jesse, Myran, and Tekoya Thompson; fourteen grandchildren; Loving and devoted mother, Mary Hicks Wynn; devoted aunt, Martha Hicks Blackman; devoted brothers/cousins, Elder Carl Blackman, Jr. (ShaVonda), and Steven Boyd; devoted sister/cousin Leticia Blackman; Mother-in-law, Juanita Thompson; devoted sisters-in-law, Theresa Thompson; play daughter, “Quannie;” God-sister, Mary Frances Fisher; compassionate aunts, Minister Mildred O. Bledsoe, Mother Geraldine Greer, Gloria Bell, Delores Howse, Will (James) Finney, Nashville, TN; and Connie Kirkland, Swainsboro, GA; uncle, Arthur Boyd, and Kenneth (Barbara) Nesbit; cousins, Kevin Finney, and Robert Boyd; devoted friends, LaTasha; William Raines, and Lizzie Garner; devoted (sisters and cousins), Brenda London Rogan, you are special to me.
