Winifred Jean Miller Crawford was born November 29,1931, in Edgewater, Alabama to Blaine and Abie Miller. She received her Bachelors from Tuskegee Institute and Master’s from Tennessee State University. She began her teaching career in Drew Mississippi. She went on to teach at Metro Action Commision, where she retired from in 1996.Winifred was a generous, loving person who loved to see others happy. She was a member of St. Matthews AME Methodist Church. Winifred was preceded in death by her husband Andrew Tim Crawford, her brothers Blaine Miller Jr.,Calvin Miller, Sandy Miller and sister Betty Miller. Many loving memories will be cherished by her daughter, Genorris Crawford; brother, Alfred Miller (Pell City, Alabama); two grandchildren; Terranise’ Clark, and Gebraun Clark (Charlene); great grandchildren, Eron Ingram, Kai Clark, Gabrianna Clark and Gianna Clark, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, friends and acquaintances.
