Yeae' G. Prince-Hagler

September 17, 1965 — February 22, 2023

Born to parents André Prince-Jeffries and Kermit Jeffries, Yeaé Gelene Jeffries-Hagler came into this world on a balmy September 17, 1965. She transitioned from this life on February 22, 2023 after a brief illness.

At an early age, Yeaé professed her love for Christ joining First Baptist Church South Inglewood under the leadership of the late Reverend T.E. Sweeney. Active in church and school activities, she had membership in

B.T.U. and the Girl Scouts. She later united with her family in Nashville, TN at The Temple Church under Rev. Darrell A. Drumwright, Senior Pastor. She attended Inglewood Elementary, Dalewood Middle School, F.H.Jenkins School

and Madison Academy where she maintained life-long friendships. As a 1983 graduate of Hillwood High School, Yeaé matriculated at Tennessee State University earning B.S. degree in Business Administration/Marketing. After finishing

college, she became a member of her favorite Greek organization of Kappa Lambda Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

With a heart full of love, Yeaé's first job was as a Sales Manager at Castner-Knott Department Store in downtown Nashville. She later married and moved to Tuscaloosa, Alabama for over twenty

years; where she had two children, Austin and Christina Hagler. There she attended Weeping Mary Baptist Church. Well loved by all who had met her, she later

moved back to Nashville working for Parisians and Belk Department Stores in Franklin, TN. Queen of Charity Day and Customer Service at Belk, Yeaé was the epitome of kindness. Her career at Belk lasted

over three decades. She enjoyed interacting with customers and the Sales staff. Kind, affectionate, and sweet are but a few attributes to her.

Yeaé enjoyed traveling, cooking, watching football, and spending time with family and friends. Some say, ''TSU Homecomings will never be the same without YEAÉ!" Her vivacious attitude and magnificent attendance were

noteworthy key factors. Yeaé leaves us with fond memories of her loving smile, her generous heart, her faith in God, and her sweet spirit. With life-long friends, she believed in taking care of yourself and others. Yeaé is preceeded in
